In honor of Fairmont Heights High School (FHHS) being the first modern “separate-but-equal” County school in Maryland for African Americans that included the twelfth grade when it opened in September 1950, the Fairmont Heights High School Alumni Association (FHHSAA) has created a scholarship program to celebrate 75 years of educating our youth. The Diamond Hornet Scholarship Program honors a high performing graduating senior from FHHS.

We will award a graduating senior who has been accepted and enrolled in a 4-year degree program with special recognition at the FHHS 75th Anniversary Gala on October 18, 2025, at Martin’s Crosswinds, 7400 Greenway Center Drive, Greenbelt, MD, from 7:30 – 11:30 p.m.
